this song was written and recorded in the middle of the night. i used my best friend's banjo and let the song do its own writing. a simple melody is used in the middle and end sections but it seems to fit at this point of the album.
lyrics
my eyes were watered,
so my skin had now turned colors,
in winter wind,
i said "i need something to drink",
are we stopping with so much here?
i stuck a finger out of my sleeve,
to see if it would bring me back,
news of comfort and woolen clothes,
tidings of peace, of girls and of boys,
when i'd seen you,
then i looked up,
then i hesitate,
when i looked up,
i sit cross legged, my knees and my bones,
somehow relate it to things that i know,
if i dream of yellows and blues,
do i create it?
and do you stay?
when i'm 23.
when you looked at me,
when my skin,
when it stood on end.
